Set up the profile once
- Name and picture: your server name and icon, the same as on server lists and Discord.
- Bio: the address on its own line, plus the versions you support. Hosting guides for server owners repeat this advice for a reason: viewers check the bio after a video ends (BerryByte).
- Link: your Discord or website, once TikTok lets you add one.
- A tracked address:
tiktok.yourserver.compointing to the same server, so you can count joins from TikTok.
The first three seconds
TikTok’s own creative guidance says to introduce what the video is about in the first three seconds (TikTok). For a server, that means a moving character and the first caption word on frame 0, no logo intro, no black frames, and the thing you’re talking about visible within about a second.
- “Do not open these crates.” (a negative command the video then answers)
- “This server gives you a cannon.” (an absurd claim, proven right away)
- “I went from $0 to $1B in one hour.” (an outcome first)
- “The reset is in three days.” (urgency)

Length and pacing
In OpusClip’s 2026 analysis of high-performing TikToks, clips of 15–30 seconds were overrepresented among the most-viewed, and the median was around 41 seconds (OpusClip). For servers, 20–35 seconds is a good default: long enough for a hook, three features and the address.
Inside that, cut often. The narrated server and mod showcases we measured average one shot every 1.3–1.6 seconds, with every cut landing on the start of a word, and a shot held longer only while something on screen is changing.
Keep text out of TikTok’s buttons
TikTok draws the caption, sound, profile and like buttons over the bottom and right of your video. Keep captions, the IP and anything important inside a safe area: roughly the top 12% and the bottom quarter of a 1080×1920 frame are risky, and so is a column about 13% wide on the right from the middle down. Narrated captions sit about 70% down the frame; skit captions sit higher, about 28% down.
Where to put the IP
- On screen at the end: an IP badge for the last three to five seconds, over live footage rather than a static card. See the IP badge guide.
- On screen early (optional): a small, quiet address chip during the first seconds, for viewers who swipe away.
- First line of the caption: “Join: tiktok.yourserver.com”, then a sentence and a few tags.
- In replies: pin a comment with the address when people ask.

Frequently asked questions
How long should a Minecraft server TikTok be?
About 20–35 seconds: a hook in the first second or two, three features or story beats, and the address on screen at the end.
Where should I put my server IP on TikTok?
In your bio, in the first line of every caption, and on screen for the last few seconds of the video, inside the area TikTok’s buttons don’t cover.
How often should a Minecraft server post on TikTok?
As often as you can keep quality up. Server-growth guides suggest one or two clips a day; three to five a week is a solid start for a small team.
What hashtags should a Minecraft server use on TikTok?
A few relevant ones beat many: #minecraft, #minecraftserver and your game mode (for example #minecraftprison or #lifesteal). Hashtags help categorise a video; the hook and watch time decide its reach.
Can VoxelCut upload to TikTok?
Yes. Connect your TikTok account once and VoxelCut writes the title, caption and hashtags and uploads from your own computer. You can disconnect any time.
